Corn Fest: Graf Growers is hosting a Corn Fest on Saturday to celebrate summer’s harvest. There is no cost for the event

Golf Outing: The 4th annual Hattie Larlham Family and Friends golf outing will take place on Monday at Rosemont Country Club. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

Cuyahoga Falls

Cuyahoga Falls Wading Pools: Open through Aug. 25. 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays, noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. Supervised pools for ages 9 and younger. Swim diapers are required for diaper-age children. Pools are at Lions Park, Linden Park, Indian Mountain Park, Quirk Cultural Center, Valley Vista and Oak Park. Shrek the Musical will be playing at 8 p.m. Saturday, at North Canton Playhouse Center for the Performing Arts. The cost of this event is $13.

Fracking speaker: Rhonda Reda, the Executive Director of Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program, will talk about the technology, education and jobs involved in exploring, drilling and producing oil and gas from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Green branch of the Akron Library.


The Hudson Farmer’s Market will take place at 9 a.m. this Saturday, on the Clocktower Green.
