RICHFIELD TWP.: Thousands of daffodils are expected to be at or near peak bloom this weekend through early next week, reports Metro Parks, Serving Summit County.
The daffodils are found on the H.S. Wagner Daffodil Trail at 3100 Brush Road in Furnace Run Metro Park.
The trail is named after the first director-secretary of the park district, Harold S. Wagner, who planted the first bulbs there in the late 1930s.
The parking lot is limited to about 10 cars, so visitors are encouraged to visit on weekdays before 4 p.m. when the trail is less crowded.
