BATH TWP.: The holiday fundraiser with the catchy name is back for the fourth consecutive year.
The fourth annual “Cool Yule at Ghent Square,” will take place on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 843 N. Cleveland-Massillon Road.
Two of the stores in Ghent Square, The Jeweller’s Shop and Tadpoles & Tiddlers, have annually orchestrated this event as a way to celebrate the holiday season and to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
The event is not only a business attraction, but also a personal mission. A nephew of Paul Boulos, owner of The Jeweller’s Shop, and a grandchild of Cheryl Lemke, of Tadpoles & Tiddlers, both have juvenile diabetes.
“All of the proceeds raised that day go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation,” said Boulos.
The main attractions will be horse-drawn wagon rides until 3 p.m., as well visits with Santa Claus and his reindeer dog, Bernice, said Boulos. In addition there will be sweets and treats, face-painting, cotton candy and popcorn, along with swag bags with the purchase of a raffle ticket for “awesome prizes” for $5 or three tickets for $10, and discounts at the stores.
Stop by Ghent Square on Saturday to shop local and benefit the work done by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
