BATH TWP.: Trustees approved two business items during the regular meeting on Monday.

Per the recommendation of Interim Service Director Michael Rorar, the township will advertise for bids to service the mechanical equipment, primarily the HVAC operations, in four township buildings, the Administrative Building at Bath Canter, the nearby Bath Service Department facility, the Historic Bath Town Hall, and the Stony Hill Fire Station.

Bid opening is planned for Jan. 30 at 10:30 a.m.

Trustees also approved removing Fire Chief Walt Hower from his one-year probationary status, effective Jan. 1.

Trustee Jim Nelson, quipped that he was gratified to take such action as Hower’s “principal,” referencing the years when Nelson was the principal at Bath Elementary School, which Hower attended.
